Ingredients

  • 8 cookies Oreo cookies preferably with filling
  • 1 cup milk cold, whole or 2% milk
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar optional, for sweetness

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method

  1. Place the Oreo cookies in a blender jar.
  2. Add the cold milk and granulated sugar to the blender.
  3. Secure the lid on the blender and blend on high until the mixture is smooth and creamy, with no large cookie pieces remaining.
  4. Stop the blender and check the consistency—if it’s too thick, add a splash more milk and blend briefly again.
  5. Pour the blended mixture into glasses, filling each about three-quarters full.
  6. Optionally, garnish with extra crushed Oreos or a dollop of whipped cream for presentation.
  7. Serve immediately with a straw or spoon for a thick, frosty treat.

Notes

For an extra chocolatey flavor, add a small spoonful of cocoa powder before blending.
